The Melbourne University Health Initiative (MUHI) is super excited to bring you the 2017 Public Lecture Series - Genetics and Health!

This year, we'll be focusing on the role of genetic research on global health equality and are thrilled to welcome two incredible speakers for our first public lecture:

Professor Geoffrey McFadden: a malaria research expert who runs his own laboratory at the University of Melbourne, with his ground-breaking discovery on "trapping" genes encoding drug resistance in pathogenic parasites.

Doctor Marco Herold: a cancer researcher who heads a laboratory at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute (WEHI), that studies regulation of apoptotic cell death and aims to identify novel drug targets for cancer therapy using CRISPR.

Come on down for a chance to get an insight into the leading edge of genetic research and its global impact!
