To fulfil our vision and mission we aim to:

- Empower individuals and their families to reach positive health
and life outcomes
- Empower people to act as community representatives
- Represent the interests and views of individuals affected
by genetic conditions to the community as well as the State and
Federal governments
- Promote consumer participation and feedback
- Provide educational opportunities to individuals and their
families, health professionals and the wider community

conditions the GSNV aims to connect:

Support
The central aim of the GSNV is to provide a point of contact for
individuals and families seeking information and support. We do
this by:
- Providing timely, accurate and balanced information
- Referring to support groups and other community services
- Referring to clinical services
- Facilitate peer support
- Assisting with the establishment of new support groups and the
expansion of existing groups
- Providing educational opportunities such as workshops,
seminars, patient information sessions and peer support
training
- Supporting clinical services and the delivery of quality
healthcare
